For me, portraiture is the most difficult subject one could choose. You have to gain your subjects trust, the time is very limited and unfortunately, only in rare occasions the subject is fully pleased with the result. A portrait painting is a real challenge for both model and painter, yet, I enjoy the interaction that is going on.
I focused portraiture only recently, but in the mean time it is my favorite subject.
